Privacy

This is a website with one link on it. There is not much to collect, and we have not gone looking for more.

The URL you buy. Published on the homepage, then kept in the Ownership History permanently. That is the point of the site, so it is not something we can delete later.

Your email, if you give one. It is optional. It is used to tell you when somebody takes the link off you, and for nothing else. No newsletter, no list, nobody else gets it. Ask and we will delete it.

Your payment details. We never see them. Stripe handles the whole checkout and we only ever learn that a payment succeeded.

Visits. Umami, which is cookie-free and does not track people between websites. The green counter on the homepage is one number in a database counting page loads. It does not know who you are and neither do we.

Messages. Anything sent through the form is stored so we can read and answer it.

Abandoned checkouts. Starting a purchase holds the price and blocks everybody else, so unpaid attempts are counted against a one way hash of the address they came from. The hash cannot be turned back into an IP address, it is deleted the instant a purchase completes, and it is deleted anyway after a day. It exists so one person cannot sit on the link without ever paying for it.

Admin sign-ins. Failed attempts on the admin page are counted against a one way hash of the address they came from, so repeated guessing gets locked out. The hash cannot be turned back into an IP address, and the row is deleted on a successful sign in.

No advertising trackers, no data sold to anybody, no accounts, no passwords. To ask what we hold or have it removed, get in touch.
